Enssaro — After roughly 2 decades on Grand Ave, the Ethiopian standby moved to Rockridge on July 31. 5897 College Ave.
Sweet Fingers — The Jamaican spot finished its move from Foothill Blvd up to Uptown with a grand opening later this month. 1707 Telegraph Ave.
Shibam Coffee — Yemeni coffee moved into the old Red Bay Coffee flagship in Fruitvale. 3136 International Blvd.
Broken Dreams — Cơm tấm (broken rice) plates downtown in a fast-casual setting from Quynh Nhu Nguyen and Geoffrey Deetz, the former chef-owner of Temple Club. 1312 Broadway.

A new Caltrans study reveals impact of removing heavy trucking ban from I-580 — Removing the ban, which has been in place since the ’60s, would lead to 3,800 heavy trucks a DAY on the stretch of highway near schools and senior centers.
Over half of speed camera tickets go to non-residents — Oakland speed cameras have issued over 200,000 citations in 6 months and speeding in camera locations has fell by 70%.
Death of Six Flags dolphin prompts outcry — A dolphin at the Six Flags Vallejo location was euthanized last month after 4 decades in captivity. Animal rights groups are asking the remaining dolphins to be moved to sanctuaries.
Is a data center coming to downtown Oakland? — Well, kinda, sorta, maybe. Details of the proposed projects originally reported by SF Business Times have not been officially disclosed to the city.
