Stories from The Bay

OUSD drinking water (mostly) safe — It’s been 18 months since the lead crisis at OUSD, when dozens of schools drinking water had elevated levels of lead. Some over 20x. Now, only two faucets are still out of commission.

Alameda roaster goes for the ‘gold rush’ — Signal coffee, an Alameda-based roaster, announced plans to expand into SF with the opening of its 5th store near Fisherman’s Wharf.

Golden Gate Fields might become a park — Let’s all hope. A conservation group has announced plans to purchase the former, 161 acre horse racing track and turn it into a public park that would be handed over to East Bay Regional Park District.

But first the proposal has to pass Berkeley AND Albany city councils…

Whew, nice and sweet.

Hope y’all enjoy the nice weather coming.

I’m working on some new announcement and changes to this newsletter. They’re taking a lil’ longer than I expected. Such is LIFE.

In the meantime, hit reply and tell me what’s missing.
